Last Stop in London: Wimbledon!

Standard

Given our new-found obsession with tennis, we obviously had to visit Wimbledon.  For those of you who don’t know what Wimbledon is…you need to get out more…or watch ESPN.  After visiting, it is NO wonder why one of the biggest tennis tournaments in the world is hosted there.  The facilities are perfection–I don’t think a single blade of grass was out-of-place.  It was one of the highlights of our trip (and there were a lot of highlights to choose from).  Enjoy the photos and Bon Ap!

They haven't added my photo yet...

Kid in a candy shop!

Women's final winners through the years...

And the men's too!

Center court looked a little like a football stadium without the lines on the court!

This photo was taken right after our press conference...what a day!

Interesting tidbit: Rolex is one of the main sponsors at Wimbledon, so every single clock in the facility is Rolex. Would they like to sponsor my wrist?

  1. Did you know that I met (and drove) Martina Navratilova, Pam Shriver, Chris Evert, Billie Jean King and Elise Burgin on one of my limo jobs? Martina is one of the most fiercely competitive people I ever met (she “worked out” after playing tennis all afternoon just to cool down!). Pam is as tall as me and beautiful. Chris is beautiful and the friendliest of the group. And the others, … eh! Maybe Martina will remember me. She rode around with me for a week and became pretty conversive after a while. Did you know that “Andre is such an asshole”? 🙂
