Happy Anniversary…
…to us! Today marks the third year that Daniel has been privileged enough to call me his wife. You are welcome, babe! We sure have had a heck of a ride over the last 3 years and I hope we have at least 3 more good ones left. Ha ha…just kidding! More like 63 more (that will put me at 93 years old and I think that I will be ready to hang it up by then)! I don’t think we will forget our 20-11 anniversary any time soon…
We actually went to London this weekend to celebrate (more to come later this week), but here is how we actually spent our anniversary.
Bon Ap!
Etretat, France (pr: ET RA TAT)
Next move: We are moving to the beach. Never to return to land-locked life again!
Just Married…the remake!
Have you seen the movie “Just Married” with Ashton Kutcher and Brittainy Murphy? Well, remember the part in Italy where they are headed upstairs to their room in La Pension? The landlord was farting the entire way up the stairs, the bed looked like it had just been slept in by an elephant, the pictures hung crooked on the wall and…sometimes… fell off. Stains?…oh yes! Ashton Kutcher says, “We’ll try it for the night and if we don’t…LIVE…” That is what we were dealing with here.
We pretty much had an exact remake of this scene: http://movieclips.com/9bpeK-just-married-movie-roach-hotel/
To let you know my personal beliefs on lodging. My Dad pretty much summed it up when I asked him as a small child if we could go camping. He said, “Sure…as long as it is at the Four Seasons”. So, see? It’s not my fault! Bon App!
Honfleur, France (pr: ON FLER)
Deauville, France (pr: DOE VILL)
Right before I left for Arkansas, Daniel and I took a weekend excursion to the coast. We had a great time and visited 3 little towns along the coast. When it gets a little warmer, those nude beaches better watch out cause here I come (I believe the words you are looking for are: “Oooo la la”)! Just kidding…didn’t mean to gross anyone out. Please, keep reading my blog…please…no more nude references!
First stop along the trail was Deauville. Come to find out, this is quite the hoity toity little area. All of the Who’s Who in France visit Deauville on the weekend. Quite fitting that the Barnetts were also “weekending” at the shore…and “lunching”… Ha ha! My people called Daniel’s people. Bon App (said with a French accent that sounds very snooty).
